Your first visit is a 60-minute conversation where we take the time to understand the full picture—your symptoms, history, stressors, strengths, and goals. This isn’t a rushed checklist. It’s a thoughtful assessment designed to help us understand you as a whole person.

Together, we’ll develop a working diagnosis (it can evolve over time!) and discuss a personalized plan to help decrease symptoms, build coping skills, and support your wellbeing.

What is a psychiatric evaluation?

What we explore

Your Mental Health History

Past symptoms, treatment experiences, what’s helped, and what hasn’t.

Current Concerns & Stressors

What brought you in, what’s been hardest, and how it’s affecting your daily life.

Your Strengths & Supports

Coping skills, relationships, resources, and the things that help you stay grounded.

Your Goals

What you want to feel differently, improve, or understand better moving forward.

Your Personalized plan

At the end of the evaluation, we’ll go over your working diagnosis and walk through a tailored treatment plan. This may include:

  • Thoughtful medication options

  • Supportive psychotherapy in sessions

  • Coping strategies

  • Lifestyle and sleep recommendations

  • Integrative approaches, when appropriate

Every step is collaborative. Nothing is decided for you—only with you.
