Hi, I'm Dr. Kate! I am a doctorally-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who provides psychiatry and psychotherapy services in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Originally from a small town in Michigan, I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Psychology. I moved to Philadelphia in 2018 to pursue an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and thus began my career in psychiatry. I have worked in a variety of different settings, including psychiatric emergency, community mental health, corrections, and outpatient private practice. I enjoy treating individuals across the lifespan from 5 to 85, with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, ASD, eating disorders, and sleep issues. In my free time, I enjoy reading, singing Taylor Swift songs, cooking, and spending time with my two sweet little dogs (my office assistants who often join my virtual sessions).

Hello and welcome! I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

and former Clinical Social Worker, and my work is guided by empathy, curiosity, and a

deep respect for the resilience of the human spirit. I help people navigate a wide range

of challenges—including depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, ADHD, and OCD—always

with the belief that treatment works best when it’s a partnership. I enjoy working with

clients who are ready to engage in the process, and together we create a safe,

collaborative space to explore what’s possible.

The world can feel overwhelming, especially during times of change or crisis. My role is

to offer both the clinical expertise and the kindness you need to feel supported as you

work toward your goals. Whether through medication management, therapy, or a

combination of the two, we’ll focus on practical steps that lead to meaningful, lasting

change. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to help you feel more empowered,

connected, and hopeful about your future.

I’m continually inspired by the courage people show in facing life’s challenges, and I

believe that growth is possible at every stage of life. My path to psychiatry began in

social work, where I earned my MSW at Columbia University and spent years

supporting patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. My passion for neurobiology

and psychopharmacology eventually led me back to school for nursing—first at Virginia

Commonwealth University for my BSN, and then to the University of Pennsylvania for

my MSN with a focus on psychiatric care.

In my practice, I combine evidence-based treatments like CBT, DBT, and Motivational

Interviewing with a whole-person perspective that values your story, your strengths, and

your goals. I know that seeking mental health care can be intimidating—especially if

you’ve had difficult experiences in the past—and I honor the trust it takes to take this

step. In my free time I enjoy sports, nature, history, crossword puzzles and traveling. On

occasion, I like to try out new activities, such as taking an art class or an improv comedy

class.

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and walking alongside you in your

journey toward healing and growth.

Hey, I'm Christine! I take a compassionate, patient-centered approach that blends evidence-based psychiatric care with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection. My approach to mental health care is grounded in the belief that real healing happens when we look at the whole person—not just the symptoms. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the unique emotional challenges that arise during major life transitions. By prioritizing collaboration, compassion, and education, we will work together to build skills and confidence and foster long-term emotional well-being.

I offer a patient-centered, holistic approach that blends evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical skills. Whether you're navigating overwhelming stress, struggling to focus, feeling stuck, or trying to make sense of big emotions, I’m here to help you feel more in control and less alone in the process.

Together, we’ll work toward meaningful, sustainable change—not quick fixes or temporary relief. My goal is always to help you build tools that support long-term emotional well-being and a stronger sense of self. If you're ready to take the next step, I’m here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you grow. In my downtime, I love catching Pokémon, playing video games (anything Legend of Zelda), planning my next travel adventure with my family, and knitting cozy sweaters.
